A LASTING COMMITMENT

OUR PURPOSE

Our mission, La Vérité du Terroir, speaks for itself: to craft the finest champagnes and wines worldwide by uniting our estates, our people and our partners around a shared commitment to protecting the environment, preserving biodiversity and safeguarding the identity of our terroirs.

Concrete commitments that guide bold choices: advancing sustainable viticulture, reducing reliance on fossil fuels in favor of renewable energy, managing and recycling our waste, and preserving natural spaces, our built heritage, and the excellence of our craftsmanship.

Just imagine…

Imagine a Maison where every bottle reflects a deep commitment to the planet and expresses, day after day, our purpose: La Vérité du Terroir. From vineyard to glass, Maison Pommery & Associés places sustainable development at the very heart of its global strategy.

Our journey toward a greener future began in 1994 with what was then a bold innovation: the introduction of a lightweight bottle. Designed to reduce our environmental footprint, this pioneering move has since become a benchmark in the Champagne industry, marking the starting point of a more responsible approach to production.

Today, this commitment is reflected in our investment in clean technologies, reduced inputs, and the continuous improvement of our energy efficiency. Convinced that meaningful impact is collective, we engage our entire value chain, from suppliers to employees.

Reducing our carbon footprint

In 2022, we completed a comprehensive carbon footprint assessment, fully aware that climate change and its impacts, along with the growing scarcity of natural resources, represent critical challenges.
A carbon footprint assessment is an essential prerequisite for identifying the main sources of greenhouse gas emissions and launching corrective actions as part of our transition plan.

Through this approach, Maison Pommery & Associés aims to contribute to limiting greenhouse gas emissions, in line with the goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.

Recognized commitments and certifications

Maison Pommery & Associés has been a signatory of the UN Global Compact since 2003. Since 2014, the majority of our vineyards have been certified High Environmental Value (HVE) and Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne. In addition, several international standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22000 and IFS) ensure quality, environmental stewardship and food safety across the entire supply chain.
