Louis Pommery

Since its earliest days, Maison Pommery has continually explored new horizons.
Louis Pommery, a former wool broker, joined forces with Narcisse Greno to craft wines from the great crus of Verzenay, Aÿ and Bouzy — soon exported from 1857 onwards as far as New York, and supported by trading houses in Rotterdam, Antwerp, London and Liverpool.

In 1874, the first bottles of Brut Nature were laid down beneath the cellars of the newly established Domaine Pommery. Driven by Madame Pommery’s vision, a dream and a demanding pursuit came to life: the creation of a great wine. A century later, her heirs revived this pioneering spirit through a renewed exploration of sparkling wines.

As early as 2004, Paul-François Vranken rekindled this quest with a clear ambition: to seek out, across the world, terroirs capable of yielding grapes of irreproachable quality, in order to craft sparkling wines with a bold and distinctive identity.
Today, this success finds its expression in England, in the heart of Hampshire, at Pinglestone, where the House signs Louis Pommery — a sparkling wine that is precise, pure and vibrant, faithful to the spirit of Reims while fully expressing the character of its British terroir.

Across the Atlantic, the House also crafts sparkling wines of exceptional quality in the heart of the Napa Valley. Here again, the Pommery standard guides every gesture — the pursuit of freshness, balance in the blends, and the elegance of the bubble.

From Pinglestone to the Napa Valley, a single signature unites these expressions: the ambition to write, with boldness and consistency, the contemporary chapter of effervescence — the Pommery way.
